Heritage Lottery Fund launches ‘Ebb and Flow’ on the web

Friends of the North Kent Marshes share their memories and love for the area

The Thames Gateway has seen explorers and adventurers set sail and enemies invade. It is also the route by which exotic foods, spices and treasures first entered the nation. The regeneration of the area is the next chapter in this story.

At the Heritage Lottery Fund we believe that our past provides the roots for our future. We have launched the interactive ‘Ebb and Flow’ web forum to get people living, working or otherwise connected with the Thames Gateway involved with the wealth of history on their doorstep. Be it a childhood memory of picnics on the beach at Southend, or views on how the area's nationally important wildlife site can play a role in regeneration, we want to hear your views.

Join Billy Bragg, Wayne Hemingway, Friends of the North Kent Marshes and many others by sharing your memories and experiences of the Gateway.
